In an effort to encourage safe biking habits from the start, the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is proud to launch Bike IN Safe, a bicycle safety program for first- and second-graders in Indiana. We are providing the knowledge and gear kids need to ride safely—whether they’re on bike trails, city streets or beyond.
INDOT will be sponsoring statewide safety events and safety gear giveaways for first- and second-graders. Funding is provided by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Safe Routes to School program.
