The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) wants to make sure every first- and second-grade student in Indiana who needs a bike helmet has one. The Bike IN Safe program is a way for elementary schools to partner with INDOT to help make bike safety information and gear available for students. In conjunction with proper safety gear comes bicycle safety knowledge. First- and second-graders are at the perfect age to learn bike safety!
Geared toward 6- and 7-year-old students, the materials can be adapted for many elementary grade levels.
